Sinaia Walking Tour and Visit to Peles Castle
Tour description
Once the endless forests of the Prahova Valley were famous for being "The Bandits' Nest". Over time, it came to be nicknamed "The Cradle of the Romanian Dynasty." Today it is "The Pearl of the Carpathians", a place that is worth seeing at least once in a lifetime.
Until the end of the 17th century, until the construction of the Sinaia Monastery, few dared to travel through this land. Two centuries later, attracted by this wild beauty, the first king of Romania, Carol I, decided to build his summer residence here, Peles Castle. Naturally, in a short time, the place became the favorite spot of the elite, and the small town filled with luxurious houses, hotels, restaurants, shops, and a casino. By the end of the 19th century, Sinaia was already nicknamed "The Summer Capital of Romania" or "The Little Versailles."
