Free Manchester Walking Tours

I joined the Free Manchester Walking Tours with Josh and had an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. He guided us for well over three hours through Manchester and the time flew by because every stop came with engaging stories, fun details, and a real passion for the city. Josh is incredibly knowledgeable – he clearly knows Manchester’s history inside out, but explains it in a way that is lively, clear, and easy to follow. I especially appreciated how attentive he was to the group: he checked in regularly, made sure everyone could hear and keep up, and was happy to answer questions and give personalised recommendations at the end. On top of that, he’s just a genuinely nice person with a great sense of humour, which made the tour both informative and really enjoyable. I left feeling like I understood the city so much better and with a long list of places I now want to explore further. I would highly recommend booking a tour with Josh if you’re in Manchester – it’s one of the best ways to discover the city and its stories.

Josh was a brilliant tour guide - full of fantastic information and very entertaining. We have done a few Guru tours and this is one of the best we’ve done. We learnt so much about the history and buildings and life in Manchester past and present ! Josh gave us loads of really good tips of places to go after. Thank you for a great tour !

Very informative from a local who truly knows the city. We saw sights, places and alleyways we would have never seen otherwise. All four phases of Manchester were covered off, so you had a solid understanding of how the city came to be. Enjoyed the tour.
