Free Manchester Walking Tours

Duration: 3h
Languages: English
Quality Verified Registered on March 05, 2020

Hi, my name's Josh! I'm a History MA graduate, playwright and most importantly... a Mancunian! Ten years ago, I mixed my history background, love of storytelling, and local insider knowledge by setting up Manchester's original tips-based tour. Ever since then, Free Manchester Walking Tours has been running Every Day at 11am from the Alan Turing Memorial in Sackville Gardens! We've grown to become a small team of Mancunian historians and performers who are passionate about sharing the city's story with the world. So! Roll up to Sackville Gardens, and join our adventure, to discover Manchester the way people have done for hundreds of years... on foot, and for free! Just one more thing: on arrival, please double-check you are with an official FMWT guide; we will always be wearing a blue coat, feauturing our FMWT compass-shaped logo (as can be seen in our profile picture). See you in Sackville Gardens! Josh.

Very good one except the number of people should be managed in the future. I have attended walking tours that sent a second "Guru" if there are more than 20 people in the group. Everything else was very good.

Mike was a wonderful tour guide, and although 3 hours is a long time, it flew by with ease. The tour familiarises you with the different eras of Manchester, and adds just the right amount of knowledge and insight one looks for in a walking tour. Funny, easy going, involving - a blast! 5 stars.
