Hi, I'm Andreas. An Argentine born in Brazil. I am a musician and a lover of history and travel, especially on my motorcycle. I want to show you through a free tour of almost 3 hours everything that this great city has to offer: its history, architecture and culture. Greater Buenos Aires. The Paris of South America! Come with me and I'll show you all its secrets!
In this free tour we will visit several iconic points of the beautiful city of Buenos Aires , the so-called Paris of South America. Through these places I will tell you a little about the history of this great city.
First we will see the imposing Obelisk , the great one photographed by all those who come to visit us, its history and why it was resisted by the people of Buenos Aires. We will also talk about one of the widest avenues in the world, Avenida 9 de Julio , our park avenue .
Then we will walk along Avenida Corrientes , our Broadway , the theater center of Buenos Aires and where we will see several iconic theaters and talk about the culture of the city and then pass through the pedestrian Florida , with all its businesses and with a stopover at the Gallery Güemes , the great gallery of Buenos Aires and where an emblematic character of our city lived.
Then we will pass through the financial center of the city and arrive at Avenida de Mayo, the oldest avenue in the city. We will see classic buildings of this emblematic avenue as well as the iconic Roverano Passage. We will also see the Peru subway station, where the first subway line in Latin America is located.
The next step will be Plaza de Mayo , the heart of our city, with the Casa Rosada, the Buenos Aires Cathedral with the mausoleum of José de San Martín, the Cabildo and the entire history of this mythical square.
And we will end in Puerto Madero , the newest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, where we will see a little of its history: the port that could have been and was not. We will end the tour at the Puente de la Mujer .

We will talk about the scandalous construction of the Obelisk; why was it so resisted by the inhabitants of the city and how today it is the point of reference for tourists as well as locals. We will also talk about 9 de Julio, our park avenue per excellence and one of the widest in the world and center of great social and cultural events. Its eclectic architecture and its history.
Our Broadway. The avenue of the stars of the city with its iconic theaters such as the Teatro Ópera, Gran Rex and Maipo and its classic pizzerias. We will talk about the culture and the great artists that performed here.
We will talk about the most important pedestrian street in the city and its iconic buildings, especially the emblematic Gath y Chávez. What once was and what is now. We will also visit the intersection of Floria with Diagonal Norte, a very European point.
On Florida street is the first skyscraper in the City of Buenos Aires. An emblem of the Art Nouveau style of the early 20th century. A jewel of local architecture. We will talk about its most famous characters. A gallery that many locals do not know.
Based on the Gran Vía in Madrid, it is the oldest avenue in Buenos Aires. Its classic buildings such as the Casa de la Cultura (ex Diario La Prensa) show the fascination of Buenos Aires for Europe. We will go to the old metro station called Peru, where we can see a replica of what was the oldest line station in Latin America. We will also visit Pasaje Roverano, one of the most traditional galleries in the city and where you can still see its old businesses.

We will talk about the beginnings of the city and how it went from being a small town in the Viceroyalty of Peru to being one of the most important metropolises in South America.
House of the administration and the prison of the city. One of the most traditional buildings in Buenos Aires and which had several modifications over time. We will talk about its history and its significance for what was the emancipation of the Spanish crown.
We will see the history of our cathedral, with its unique architecture and why it took more than 100 years to be built. We will visit it inside and we will also explore the mausoleum of José de San Martín, the Liberator of Argentina, Chile and Peru. We will learn about its history and its myth.
Originally the fort of the City of Buenos Aires, today it is the center of presidential power of the Republic: the presidential palace. We will talk about her various transformations and myths that she has, such as: Why is she Rosada?
The original idea was to be the city's port par excellence, with its warehouses and silos. Entrance of the great migrations that populated the country at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. We will see how this idea finally did not work but decades later it became the newest neighborhood in Buenos Aires and an important point for tourism with its hotels, restaurants and its most important icon: El Puente de la Mujer.
