Essential Free walking tours of Lisbon

Very informative with Lisbon culture and sites.

Our guide, Fraga, was superb. So much so that we tipped him 50% more than our usual tip for these types of tour. Fraga was funny, passionate about Lisbon's history, informative and happy to answer any questions. His commitment to our tour meant we took 3½ hours, not the regular 3,and we could have kept on listening too. Fabulous and highly recommended. One thing to bear in mind on any walking tour in Lisbon, you will climb up and down a lot of steps so be prepared!

Daniela was fabulous! Kept us entertained and engaged full length of tour. Good information, good route, good sites. Daniela did a fabulous job, considering the group size. The group size was larger than I prefer, but Daniela had no control over that. Daniela was one of the best guides we've had a for a walking tour, and we've done lots of them!

My husband and I took this tour with Maria. It was great! I felt like we were able to hit all the spots we had written down that we wanted to see in downtown, alfama, Baxia, Chaido and she left us off in a neighborhood with a great view if the city. she gave up a WhatsApp list of recommendations of restaurants. She also had some great one-on-one conversations when we were walking talking about different people's questions like about specific doors and their meanings. She is a wealth of knowledge!

Lovely start to our stay at Lisboa. Beatriz was really informative, always open to further questions and kept us entertained. Really glad we did this free walking tour.

Excellent walking tour and introduction to Lisbon. Communication and organisation were very good, the walk was well planned and interesting, Beatriz proved to be warm, engaging, knowledgable and the little treats along the way were a nice surprise. Many thanks for stimulating morning.

Great tour to begin your Lisbon visit, seeing all the highlights of the city while learning about the culture and history of Lisbon was exactly what I was expecting. Ines was fantastic, funny and very knowledgeable.

A introductory tour of Lisbon!

Ines is great! I took many guru tours and I think Ines is one of the best tour guides ever!

The tour was conducted with great professionalism, and it was clear that the guide had a deep understanding of the city’s history. The storyline of the tour was well organized, starting with the earliest historical roots and gradually moving into more recent periods, which made the whole experience easy to follow. The atmosphere was enjoyable throughout, helped by the pleasant weather and a well‑planned break that gave everyone time to recharge. The route itself was thoughtfully designed—from beginning at Dom Pedro to ending at a charming romantic bridge, it offered a nice balance of sights and storytelling. The guide communicated clearly and confidently, though the experience could have been even better with a bit more interactive engagement to involve the group more actively. Overall, it was an informative and enjoyable tour.

Maria was a fantastic tour guide. Her approach was very engaging and I feel like I learned a lot about the history of Portugal, cultural traditions and Lisbon. I really appreciated her giving us recommendations for places to eat or visit, as it can sometimes be a bit overwhelming to discover where it's worth going, particularly when you don't have a lot of time to spend in the city.

This is a great tour, the guide was knowledgeable and definitely worth doing !
