I bring my out of town visitors on this tour each time. It’s a great way to get an overview of Lisbon, gain some essential knowledge of the history, get some good exercise, and personal tips/insider knowledge from the guide. These past two times I’ve had Frago as our guide, and he’s been entertaining and personable. Definitely recommend.

This is a fantastic tour for anyone with an interest in history. If you’re mainly looking for a quick overview of Lisbon’s most Instagrammable sights, this may not be the tour for you, although there are some viewpoints and photo opportunities along the way too. Instead, the focus is on churches, monasteries, and other historically significant sites that tell the story of Lisbon’s complex past. I really enjoyed hearing about the historical evolution of Lisbon and the many tragedies that shaped the city over time, from tensions between the church and monarchy to natural disasters and the persecution of Jews and Muslims. I’m not usually a huge history buff, but I found the stories fascinating, and at times it honestly felt like listening to an episode of Game of Thrones because of how enthusiastically Eduardo was telling them. The tour lasts around 3 hours and covers about 17 stops, so it’s quite comprehensive but the pace doesn’t feel rushed. It finishes perfectly with a drink in hand at a beautiful viewpoint overlooking the city and the bridge which is also great sunset spot.

Wir hatten mit Sandra eine lustige und interessante Stadtführung. Geschichtliches zum Verständnis der Stadt und seinen Eigenheiten waren dabei, viel Interessantes. Besonders hat uns gefallen, dass Sandra auf jeden persönlich eingeht. Man bekommt das Gefühl eine ganz persönliche Führung zu bekommen. Danke dafür an Sandra.

Had a fantastic tour in Lisbon! Antonio was incredibly informative and made Portuguese history come alive by explaining the key figures and events that shaped the country in a way that was engaging and easy to follow. Loved all the fun facts, local tips, and secret hacks along the way too. Beyond being knowledgeable, he is genuinely kind, fun, and created such a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!
