Essential Free walking tours of Lisbon

Antonio did a fantastic job in guiding the tour. He was easy going and yet very professional. He was born and raised in Lisbon. What could be better than having a local to show us the city. He took us mostly through downhill walk and stairs which were far less strenuous. The duration of the tour was perfect for us. We had 8 total in the group and we had no problem of hearing him speak. Highly recommend Antonio for the free walking tour.

João was an incredibly informative and clear guide. It’s obvious he is very passionate about Lisbon. He was welcoming, easy to talk to, and chose a great route full of interesting facts.

Hugo was brilliant! Very fun and interesting tour and a great way to start our visit in Lisbon! We also got a bunch of suggestions from Hugo of things to do after the tour and everything we have checked out has been 100% worthwhile. Really good experience overall!

All i can say is wow...what an incredible tour by Beatriz. We did the tour as a group of 4 (3 adults and a child (6 years old)) and we all completed it. The tour was very complete and covered a good chunk of Lisbon. We learned a lot and we were super happy with the attention our Paloma got. Thank you Beatriz for an incredible tour.

Lovely informative and entertaining tour for an introduction to Lisbon. I'd highly recommend it for a first-time visitor. Be aware there are quite a few stairs and steep hills towards the end of the tour for those with mobility issues.

He’s a true local, very familiar with the sights, sounds and tastes. Loved the custard tart straight out of the oven. Fascinated by these university troubadors. Enjoyed Francisco’s stories and super generous tips and tricks before and after our tour. He also accomodate a new time to avoid a potential downpour

He is really professional and was able to keep us both interested and entertained while giving information. I am really happy that we joined this tour and heard the story behind many places that we would otherwise go right across without noticing.

This is not our first visit to Lisbon, but we still decided to take a guided walking tour. Our guide, Lia, was outstanding and we had a remarkable, informative and enjoyable morning with her. Highly recommended.

Very nice tour, excellent guide!

Francisco (Chico) was amazing so knowledgeable and fun, sharing great facts about the city and treating us to delicious pastel de nata, he also offered us cherry liqueur, but it was still early for us, but it was so thoughtful of him. He also gave fantastic recommendations, so I’d definitely suggest doing this tour on your first day. If you only have time for one tour in Lisbon, choose this one! Thank you for a wonderful experience Chico!

Loved this tour! Our guide was Jorge Crespo, a fantastic storyteller who made every stop exciting. The walk was fun, informative, and the perfect way to explore several Lisbon neighborhoods on foot and by the end, you’ll be more than happy to pay for this free tour. Highly recommend!

Ines was a great tour guide! She shared so much information on the tour in a way that was entertaining and humorous. The stops were selected and paced well. Her tips and suggestions were excellent things to take away from the tour.

This tour was awesome! Joao was an amazing lead guide - sharing personal touches, providing interesting facts and anecdotes, and being kind and welcoming to everyone on the tour. I really enjoyed that he talked with individuals as we moved to different sites - answering questions, giving personal suggestions and sharing insights as a local. He did not stray away from social/political/historical issues, which I greatly appreciated. You could tell he loves his job and city and his interest in Portuguese literature, history and culture was contagious!

The tour with Antonio was great, very informative and fun. He had a really positive vibe and gave tips I wish I knew earlier during my stay as it would have made getting around Lisbon easier. He explained the history of Portugal clearly and was also mindful of keeping a manageable pace throughout the tour. He also gave recommendations for visits outside of Lisbon which has already proven helpful.
