Tour description

"A Day in Antigua"

Visiting Antigua Guatemala and exploring every corner becomes an unforgettable experience, especially when you explore it with a Guatemalan who likes to share, learn, and make new friends.

The city of Santiago de los Caballeros de Guatemala, now called Antigua Guatemala, has been the site of various political, economic, religious, and sociocultural changes. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 and is considered one of the most important cities in the country.
I like to create a pleasant and interesting experience. Therefore, the tour I offer is based on the city's most emblematic sites, and to see them, our itinerary is as follows:

Itinerary:

Central Square where you can appreciate the buildings that were built during the formation of the city and that are still appreciated today for their function, historical and cultural value.

Santa Catalina Arch. The city's most famous avenue, where you can find various food, drink and nightlife options, as well as several markets showcasing local crafts.

Church of La Merced. This monument represents the art and architecture of the city at its finest, with a unique and unrepeatable design that showcases the cultural clash of our country.

Other places of interest that our tour may include:

Santo Domingo
Union Tank
Central Market
Viewpoint. "Hill of the Cross"
Jade factory and museum.
Handicrafts Market

Likewise, our walk can include places that suit the interests of our visitors. At the end of the walk, I can suggest some places where you can sample the local food and drinks.

Attention ! “Free booking & cancellation!”

The tour is free to book and cancel; however, it is not a free tour as the website advertises. We constantly train and invest in the platform so that you can be part of our event.

"All contributions are per person."
The minimum fare according to GURUWALK is €10 up to €50.

Your miles are worth as much as our knowledge, enjoy and keep learning like us!

What should you bring to the tour? A positive attitude and a desire to learn about the history of this city, as well as a strong desire to explore the best this beautiful place has to offer with your guide. If you're tired from a long trip but still want to join our tour, you're welcome to join. We simply ask that you be respectful at all times and open to learning about our culture in this beautiful country.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Our tour is based on relevant historical facts about the city. It also includes general information about the country that relates to some events throughout history. If you book your tour, it's because you're interested in discovering and exploring the best of Antigua, and because you've read the full tour description.

"IF FOR ANY REASON YOU HAVE TO LEAVE, NOTIFY YOUR GURU AND DON'T JUST LEAVE THE TOUR."

If you leave the tour without notifying us, we will consider it a lack of respect towards your guru and the rest of the walkers. We will also report any inappropriate behavior.

WE DO NOT ALLOW PEOPLE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS.

OUT OF RESPECT FOR ALL WALKERS, WE ASK THAT YOU DO NOT MAKE INAPPROPRIATE JOKES OR TALK TO PEOPLE DURING THE EXPLANATION, AS THIS INTERRUPTS THE TOUR.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING.

Welcome to the City of Perpetual Roses ! We look forward to being part of your Guatemala experience.

We will only conduct tours with prior reservations. (If you are coming in a group, please contact the Guru before taking the tour.) Do not expect a Guru to be at the meeting point if you have not made your reservation. All contributions are per person.

Thank you so much!.

Meeting point: In front of the Choco Museum, located on the opposite side of the Central Plaza. I will be wearing a white t-shirt and carrying my Tour Guide ID.
