Free walking tours in Oaxaca

Op 30 juni hebben we via Guruwalks een Street Art tour gedaan in Oaxaca. De naam van de gids zijn we even kwijt, maar de tour met hem was perfect! Bij iedere schildering werd wat verteld over de betekenis, de geschiedenis en de kunstenaar, waardoor we de kunstwerken écht leerde begrijpen. Een echte aanrader!

Abel was a great tour guide. We toured the Centro area. Abel focused on Oaxacan culture, customs and history. It was a great way for us to get acquainted with the area.

Abel was a great tour guide with a lot of knowledge on the history of Oaxaca. He was funny, entertaining and flexible with our entire trip. It began to rain mid tour and we popped into a local library where he told us about interesting facts about it. There wasn’t a dull moment.

Gentse was very knowledgeable of the city and showed me some beautiful places in Oaxaca and I learned so much about the history and the food and the architecture, the culture. Definitely recommend and please bring cash to give her a good tip she will deserve it. Can’t wait to book again with her for my friends.

An absolute must do in Oaxaca! Arturo was very knowledgeable, not just on food, but the history of Oaxaca and Mexico more generally. I am vegetarian and Arturo was able to help me identify veggie options and make any adjustments which I was apprehensive about prior to booking the tour. Would thoroughly recommend!

Su is a very kind, knowledgable tourguide who did an outstanding job in leading us through the city of Oaxaca (her hometown!). Her tour was well structured and so informing. She was happy to answer all our questions and even helped me find something I was looking for. 10/10 recommendation to walk through the city with Su. :)

Good tour, Able is great guide

I can only recommend taking this tour, which felt more like a warm welcome into Oaxacan culture. Abel is an amazing tour guide, and I was truly surprised by the warmth and kindness of the community. We’re taking a piece of Guelaguetza home with us and will definitely come back.

Fantastic tour with Su, would recommend to everyone! Su was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. Visited great sights and had very interesting information about the history, culture, politics, food and daily life in Oaxaca. 10/10!

My boyfriend and I booked this tour on a whim and it was totally worth it! We were the only ones who booked and essentially got a private tour. Arturo is so knowledgeable and knows the area well, showed us some amazing food spots, and make great recommendations for the rest of our trip. Plan to spend between 200-300 pesos per person - most places were very well priced and delicious. Definitely recommend!!
