Complete Tour of the Historic Center of Lima from Miraflores
Tour description
We'll begin our free tour in Miraflores, where the guide will welcome you and give a brief introduction to Lima's history. Then we'll head to the Metropolitano (public bus) station, from where we'll travel to Lima's Historic Center using one of the city's most important transportation systems.
Upon arrival, we will take a walking tour of Lima's Historic Center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During the tour, we will see the main historical and republican buildings, such as the Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the Lima Cathedral, the City Hall, and Plaza San Martín, as well as churches, mansions, and traditional balconies that reflect the city's architecture and historical legacy.
Our guide will share historical information, anecdotes, and interesting facts about the colonial and republican eras of Lima.
To conclude the experience, we will have a tasting of pisco sour, Peru's national drink, where we will briefly learn about its origin and cultural significance.
