Hi, I'm Floriane. I'm passionate about British and Irish history and I have been living in the UK for five years. I have lived in London, in Pitlochry, in Perth and in Glasgow but my heart settled for Liverpool!
Welcome to Liverpool!
With this tour, you will see all of the city highlights and discover 800 years of history... from the persecution of Catholic priests fleeing to Ireland, the bombs of the Blitz during the Second World War, and the birth of the legendary music group the Beatles, you will understand why, time and time again, Liverpool's story was one of a city that rose from its ashes.
From St George's Hall where will meet we will walk to the Cavern Club where the Beatles started and then head to the city's famous Three Graces looking over the river Mersey. We will then stop at the Beatles' statue, go to Albert Dock and learn about the city's links with the Titanic as well as uncover the tragedy of the sinking of the Lusitania. We will then go to Chinatown and learn about Liverpool's Chinese and Irish immigration. We will finish the tour on the ever-popular Bold Street, in front of St Luke's Bombed Out Church.
Meet me on the steps of St George's Hall, in front of the Cenotaph by the statue of Benjamin Disraeli, Earl of Beaconsfield. I will be holding a purple umbrella.
