I have cycled more than 5 thousand kilometers along Chile and also part of Argentina. I've done several hikes as well so I can give lots of recomendations for those who are looking for outdoor adventures. Join me to see the best of Santiago with a real speaker of English.
Tour description
9th coolest neighbourhood in the world- Barrio Yungay
If you're looking for an out-of-the mainstream tour in Santiago de Chile, in this tour you could explore some of the best alleys in Santiago where graffiti have taken over the first neighbourhood ever planned in Chile.
According to Timeout, Yungay is currently having a renaissance due to its with "accessible, cutting-edge culture and nightlife; brilliant and affordable food and drink" at some incredible holes on the wall.
On this tour we're visiting the most remarkable places in this area (cause it's huge, we're doing only 1/4 of its size:
- The Quinta normal park (not on Mondays).
- The human rights museum
- Museum of education (Gabriela Mistral's former school)
- Cités
- The current president's house (believe it or not).
- The french barber shop and its restaurant.
- "Casa Gárgola"
- "Casa Kiltro"
- Two palaces within the neighbourhood.
- Plaza Yungay
- Metro Cumming (final stop)
- Restaurants & bars area (optional)
Come and join me to explore the B-side of downtown Santiago.
