Tour description

Hi everyone and welcome to Vancouver!

In this tour, we will visit the oldest parts of Vancouver's modern city in both Gastown and Chinatown, while learning about Vancouvers indigenous communities.
Some of the tour highlights are:

  • Vancouver City Centre
  • Marine Building
  • Walking down the streets of Gastown
  • Gastown Steam clock
  • Hearing about the great Vancouver fire
  • Maple Square (old Gassy Jack statue)
  • Exploring the history of Chinatown
  • World's thinnest building.
  • Sun Yat-Sen Chinese Garden (subject to hours of operation)

During the tour, I will be happy to answer all your questions, as well as the best-kept secrets that some locals don't even know.

Meeting location: šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl'e7énḵ Square at Vancouver Art Gallery (plaza off Georgia St). I will be standing at the bottom of the large staircase with the 2 lion statues wearing a small blue backpack.

Please note that if you tip, please do so in CAD or USD.

**If the tour is fully booked, we likely have extra space so feel free to message me!

The Downtown tour with Alex was one of the best we ever had! He knew all the facts and delivered them in an entertaining and educating way. He talked about so many interesting topics and showed great places that gave an insight to the local Canadian culture. Great tour, thanks so much Alex!
