🕌🏛️ Jakarta Walking Tour: A Cultural Journey from Sacred Sites to Street Life

Let me take you on an immersive experience through Jakarta — where faith, history, and daily local life blend into one unforgettable journey. This tour combines iconic landmarks, hidden cultural gems, and personal stories you won’t find in guidebooks.

🔍 What You’ll Experience:

Start at Jakarta Cathedral – Marvel at this neo-gothic architectural gem from the Dutch colonial era.
Visit Istiqlal Mosque – Discover the largest mosque in Southeast Asia and its powerful symbol of religious harmony.

ℹ️ Please note: On Fridays, the mosque is closed for public tours due to Friday prayers. We will still admire its grand design and learn about its history from the outside.
Take the local train from Juanda Station to Kota Tua – I’ll lend you a transport card (you only need to top it up with Rp 20,000 / ~€1. / $1.2 / £1).
Explore Fatahillah Square – Walk among beautiful Dutch-era buildings and hear stories of Batavia’s transformation into Jakarta.
Visit a traditional Wayang Puppet Studio – Witness how Javanese puppets are handcrafted — a rare, cultural experience.
Walk through Glodok Chinatown – Taste authentic street snacks, explore traditional markets, and rest at a cozy local food court.
Take a TransJakarta city bus – Ride like a local to your final stops.
Panoramic view from the National Library (24th floor) – Enjoy a hidden viewpoint with a breathtaking skyline view of Jakarta.
End at Monas (National Monument) – Visit the symbol of Indonesian independence and hear its inspiring story.
ℹ️ Please note: On Mondays, Monas and most museums are closed. But no worries — we’ll still enjoy the surroundings, take great photos, and explore the outdoor area.
