We were pleased to get Erina after reading her reviews. Lovely friendly expert on the area with great knowledge and English. Really enjoyed the tour and would recommend. By the end the heat was starting to affect us so glad we took the 9am tour.

I went on a free walking tour of Penang City yesterday, led by Erina. The tour lasted a little over 3 hours and was simply amazing! Erina shared so many details and fascinating insights about the city – I learned a lot of new things and history. She was full of energy, very engaging, and it was a joy to listen to her. We were a small group, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended – everyone should book this tour! 😊

Aus unserer Sicht war diese Tour der beste Weg, um den alten Teil der Stadt kennen zu lernen. In dem kleinen Rahmen unserer Gruppe und der großzügig bemessenen Zeit war es möglich, ein breites Spektrum an Informationen und direkten Eindrücken zu erhalten. Nachfragen machten zudem deutlich, dass unsere Guidin über ein noch weitaus profunderes Wissen und einen Blick für internationale/historische/gesellschaftliche etc. Zusammenhänge verfügte. Mich hat zudem beeindruckt, wie sachlich und einfühlsam sie auch kulturelle/religiöse Eigenheiten erklärte, die nicht ihre eigenen waren. Insgesamt gelang es ihr, den Eindruck einer lebendigen multikulturellen Gesellschaft mit gegenseitigem Respekt und Verbundenheit zu erwecken und Lust auf weitere Streifzüge oder vertiefende Besuche zu machen. Ich hätte noch ewig so weitermachen können. Herzlichen Dank.

Great tour with Erina! Recommended!

This tour is excellent if you are interested in the history of George Town. Erina is so very professional, friendly and knowledgeable - I learned so much. I really liked the way we got earpieces and she used a microphone - it meant you could take photographs and look around while the guide was talking. I have participated in quite a few walking tours now and the quality of Erina’s is second to none. It was more than worth the expected tip, which is fully justified and clearly explained (having seen a few moans about that in the comments). This is a gem of a tour that covers history, religion and culture - a fascinating way to discover more about Pulau Penang.

Erina is a fabulous guide. I got a real picture of life in Penang as a colony and life as it is today. It was a very informative tour. I loved it.

Such a great tour from start to finish! Our tour guide, Irina, was really amazing! She was kind, knowledgeable, and really brought the history to life for all of us😊🙏🏼 She was also very considerate, in that she would always try and find shady areas for us to congregate. All in all, I would 110% recommend these amazing tours, and would of course like to thank Irina for such a special day! This tour was interesting and helped us to understand the complex cultural history of Penang

Irene has lots of knowledge. Learnt a lot of information about Penang on one side, on the other side the tour was a bit too long and a bit too dry for me.

A fantastic tour and great way of gaining understanding of the history of George Town. It is focused around the old town and it is rich with information about the city origins. Our guide, Erina, was superb. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and funny. I was happy to have her as our guide and really enjoyed the experience. Highly recommended.

Tour is a heritage tour and delves deep into the history of religion in Penang. Erina is an excellent story teller and between the iconic landmarks, temples and food recommendation you will walk away with a deeper understanding of the history of Penang. Highly recommend
