Everything was exceptional from start to finish! Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure that each of us individually understood everything and had all our questions answered. He stayed after the guided tour hours to show us some great local places to have lunch. Highly recommend!

This was a great tour it felt like we covered a lot of areas and history of Penang, and the four hours passed by so quickly! The guide made sure we had stops for the bathroom, water and even a famous samosa. I really enjoyed the tour especially with this guide who made the experience so much better! Thank you so much ☺️

Ken was very informative and kind in answering questions. She took us to many places associated with the Chinese secret gangs and explained many aspects in very precise details. She also took us to drink some local refreshments towards the end of the tour so we can rest and chitchat with each other. Our group was rather intimate so we learned a lot through her stories that we otherwise wouldn't have known if we just walked around Georgetown. The topic is focused on Chinese societies in Penang but the learnings and analysis apply to all especially immigrant communities and those who want to learn more about how different cultures coexisted (or fought) before, and possible lessons for today.

Hicimos un recorrido muy completo por Penang, visitando los principales puntos de interés y con explicaciones muy interesantes que nos ayudaron a conocer mucho mejor la historia y la cultura de la ciudad. Además, el tour incluyó una parte de food tour, ¡todo un acierto para descubrir también la gastronomía local! El recorrido se hizo muy ameno y entretenido, y el guía consiguió transmitirnos su pasión por Penang en todo momento. Me gustó muchísimo la experiencia. Sin duda repetiría y se lo recomendaría a todo el mundo que visite Penang. ¡100% recomendable!

The guide was lovely and really sweet, and the group was great. I just wish the tour had covered more of Penang rather than focusing mainly on the Indian quarter. As someone already familiar with South Asian food and culture, it wasn’t particularly new for me, though I enjoyed tasting the different foods and walking around. Overall, I’d give it about 6.5/10.

This was one of the highlights of our Penang visit! We learned so much about the history of Georgetown, not only about the Chinese societies and Chinese culture, but also about the overall founding story, the other cultures and cuisines. Highly recommended for everyone who wants to learn and see more of Georgetown!

JS was incredible! the sweetest guide and added in so many street food stops so that we could try coffee samosas chendol nasi kandar and more!! Highly highly recommend!!

ken是一个很专业的引导者，她对华人历史的了解，深远而详细。作为华人四代（我没记错的话），她本身也是这段历史的继承者，由她来讲述，也是最为合适的。ken把这段复杂的历史，通过莱特船长的起点，带我们走过一片一片的街区，从英国自由贸易走到华人的党派纷争，再带我们一起聆听兴都教清真寺的召唤。小小一片街区，放在平时我们可能走马观花，但在ken的带领下，我们看到了交融的文化与历史，建筑的多元、不同时代下的风格变化、美食。我们还尝试了一个印度小吃和喝了一瓶豆蔻汁，都很美味。结束后，依然带我们看了一下China house的地址，可以之后再来感受一下建筑物内部的样貌。我们提出各种问题，ken都会耐心地解答。感谢guru，感谢ken。会推荐朋友来，也希望有更多的人可以一起来了解这段华人历史。

Really enjoyed the tour! Ken was super patient and knew so much about the local history and everyday life in Penang. Especially liked how she told the story of George Town through its old gangs and secret societies, which made the history really interesting. She was also very open to questions and genuinely happy to chat and share thoughts with us. It felt more like exploring the city with someone who really knows and loves the place. Great experience overall!

The tour was great. Vincent lives in George Town forever and got great insights in historical and religious stories but also the day to day life in present days. He managed to deliver facts in a very entertaining way, so the over 3 hrs passed by way too quickly. He also took pics of our tour group, which he promised to send.

We had a fantastic tour of George Town city centre with CC Ang. He brought us around the must-see attractions of the old town while telling us the rich history of the local Chinese secret societies. Very informative and engaging tour, ideal for people who want to know more about the city. We also enjoyed very much the local snack we had together at Little India. Definitely recommended!

Pooi Ling was a fantastic tour guide. We had a wonderful time on this tour and learned so much about George Town. Be warned it is very hot and a long time walking outside so bring umbrellas, fans, water, etc.!
