Free Night Tour of Buenos Aires
Tour description
Can you imagine touring the historic center of the Argentine capital at night?
At the appointed time, we will meet at the subway exit in Plaza de Mayo, a perfect starting point for this nighttime tour of Buenos Aires.
Once we are all together, we will begin to discover how the nighttime lighting completely changes the appearance of the city's most iconic buildings. We will start at Plaza de Mayo, where we can appreciate the Casa Rosada, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Cabildo, and the Banco Nación under a completely different light.
Then we will head towards the Church of San Ignacio, where we will see how the lights highlight its colonial baroque style and the harmony of its twin towers. After that, we will pass in front of the Church of San Francisco, whose exterior, with its reliefs and figures, offers a very different image and contrasts with the urban surroundings.
The tour will continue to the Casa de la Cultura. After learning a bit about the history of the old La Prensa newspaper building, we will continue along Avenida de Mayo until we reach the historic Palacio de Correos.
To conclude, we will go to Puerto Madero, where the Puente de la Mujer, illuminated in white tones, becomes a modern postcard of the city. There we will learn more about its contemporary design and how this neighborhood reflects the transformation of Buenos Aires.
With the view of the Dock illuminated at night, we will conclude this approximately two-hour tour.
