# Unveiling the Secrets of Luxor: A Journey Beyond the Ordinary

**Luxor is not just a city of temples and tombs. It is a place where history, mythology, and the stories of the pharaohs remain alive.**

Imagine walking among the massive columns of the Karnak Temple, admiring its obelisks, discovering its sacred lake, and learning about the symbols and stories hidden in every corner.

Or entering one of the famous tombs of the Valley of the Kings, surrounded by colorful scenes depicting the pharaoh's journey to eternal life.

I want you to discover Luxor in a different way: **not just seeing the monuments, but understanding the stories behind them.**

I can organize visits to **the east bank and the west bank separately**, according to your interests and the time you have available. We can also combine both for a more complete experience.

## East Bank of Luxor

### Karnak Temple

We will explore one of the most impressive religious complexes of ancient Egypt.

We will visit some of its most important sites, such as:

* The **great hypostyle hall**, with its massive columns.

* The **obelisks**, built to represent the connection between the earth and the divine world.

* The **sacred lake**, related to the religious rituals of the priests.

* The famous **granite scarab**, associated with the god Khepri and the concept of rebirth.

* The grand avenue of sphinxes and the various temples and spaces that form this enormous complex.

During the visit, we will discover the importance of Karnak and learn about the history of the pharaohs and the gods who were worshipped here for thousands of years.

### Luxor Temple

Next, we will visit the Luxor Temple, primarily dedicated to the god Amun.

We will discover its massive statues, obelisks, courtyards, and columns, and discuss its relationship with the ancient city of Thebes and the celebration of the **Opet festival**.

## West Bank of Luxor

### Valley of the Kings

We will enter the famous royal necropolis where the pharaohs of the New Kingdom were buried.

We can visit some of the tombs open to the public and admire their impressive paintings and reliefs.

Among them is the famous **tomb of Tutankhamun**, one of the most well-known pharaohs of ancient Egypt.

I will explain what the scenes on the walls represent and how the ancient Egyptians imagined the pharaoh's journey to eternal life.

### Temple of Hatshepsut

We will visit the spectacular Temple of Hatshepsut, built at the foot of the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari.

Here we will learn about **Hatshepsut, one of the most powerful women of ancient Egypt**, and discover the scenes depicting her reign and her famous expedition to the land of Punt.

### Colossi of Memnon

We will end with the enormous Colossi of Memnon, two monumental statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III.

We will learn about the enormous funerary temple that once stood behind these statues and why the Greeks and Romans associated them with the legendary Memnon.

## Much More Than a Tourist Visit

During the visit, I will share with you **stories, myths, symbols, and curiosities** that often go unnoticed.

I don't want you to simply visit Luxor and take photographs.

**I want you to understand what you are seeing and be able to take with you the stories that brought these monuments to life thousands of years ago.**

**You choose how to discover Luxor:**

* East Bank

* West Bank

* Or both

I will take care of organizing the experience according to your interests and the time you have available.

### Tickets

Entrance fees to the monuments are not included in the price of the visit.

* Karnak Temple: 600 EGP

* Luxor Temple: 500 EGP

*The price of tickets to other monuments, such as the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut, depends on the current official rates.*
