Kaunas – the temporary capital of Lithuania

This tour will introduce Kaunas city during its „golden age“ - an interwar period. A time when a small provincial town became the temporary capital of Lithuania and a city that we see today.

During our time, you will know how Kaunas, its social and cultural life flourish, why it was called "little Paris", discover and climb one of the hidden stairs of Kaunas hills, and we will touch upon darker historical moments of the city.

We will start our tour by Vytautas the Great monument and finish by St. Michael the Archangel's Church, both in the Freedom avenue. Let's embark on a journey together and get to know the city as it was 100 years ago!

The tour lasts 2 hours
