Yongning Gate

Yongning Gate is one of the main gates of the Xi'an City Wall. It is located in the south of the ancient city and is an important symbol of Xi'an. Built during the Ming Dynasty, Yongning Gate has a long history and rich cultural connotations. The gate tower is majestic and spectacular, showing the exquisite craftsmanship and unique style of ancient Chinese architecture. It has witnessed the changes and development of Xi'an over the years. Xi'an City Wall Wen Chang Gate

Wenchangmen is a gate on the Xi'an City Wall, located between Yongningmen and Hepingmen on the southern wall. It was opened in 1986. Above the gate stands the Kuixing Tower, which was related to the ancient belief in the god of literature and culture and is the only facility on the city wall not related to military defense. Inside the gate is the Academy Street, full of cultural atmosphere, and outside the gate faces Wenyi Road with many art troupes.

Xi'an City Wall

The Xi'an City Wall, one of China's most well - preserved ancient fortifications, dates back to the Ming Dynasty. Surrounding the old city, it stretches about 13.7 kilometers. Its imposing structure features gates, watchtowers, and ramparts. Constructed with large bricks and earth, it served as a crucial military defense. Today, it's not only a symbol of Xi'an's long history but also a popular tourist spot. Visitors can walk or bike along the top, enjoying panoramic views of the city.
