I’m delighted that you’re considering joining this experience. It is a thoughtfully curated and interactive journey through Lugano’s past and present, designed for curious travelers who want to understand and feel Lugano, not just see it.

This walk is an invitation to discover Lugano beyond the surface as a city shaped over centuries by culture, history, and human connection from ancient Roman roots to modern innovation (including Lugano’s bold step into the world of Bitcoin). This walk reveals the city as a living story of tradition and transformation as a cultural and financial center in modern Switzerland.

We will explore Lugano at a comfortable and enjoyable pace, combining its iconic landmarks with hidden corners, quiet streets, and local perspectives that reveal the city’s true character.

Along the way, I will share stories that connect different periods of history with the present, offering a deeper understanding of how Swiss, Italian, and European influences shape life here in Ticino — from ancient trade routes, medieval influences, Napoleonic era to the development of Ticino’s unique identity and Lugano’s transformation into a modern, international destination while preserving its rich cultural heritage.

We can meet in front of the LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura (the glass building). Near the main entrance, there are public restrooms on the side (look at the picture). I will be holding a purple notebook so you can easily recognize me.
