Free Tour of Carmona: The Star of Europe
We will start at the central Plaza de San Fernando, the historical heart of the city and former Roman forum, to embark on a journey through more than 5,000 years of history. We will visit the Town Hall, the impressive Prioral de Santa María ("Cathedral of Carmona"), the Monastery of Santa Clara, and the Convent of Las Descalzas.
We will stroll through the monumental Plaza de Abastos, a former disentailed convent turned market, and reach the spectacular Puerta de Córdoba and the Alcázar del Rey Don Pedro (now a Parador), with unforgettable views of the Vega de Carmona. We will discover palaces, stately homes, the City Museum, and the history of the Carmo coin, a symbol of the privilege of minting its own currency. We will also talk about the typical gastronomy, the English cake, alboronía, and the most important festivals.
We will finish at the Puerta de Sevilla and the church of San Pedro with the curious "Giraldilla". All accompanied by an official tourism guide, in small groups, with exclusive recommendations and a surprise gift.
