Stop 2: Inside a Burundian Home: Cooking, Tasting, and Tradition
This is the heart of the tour, you will be welcomed into a real Burundian home, where you will learn how they prepare their breakfast and snacks, you will see how they make Sambusa, Mandazi( donuts), and chapati, you won't just watch, you will join and best of all you'll taste it with milk tea like a local( 15 usd/ prs applies specifically for the cooking experience)
Stop 3: The Shores of Lake Tanganyika
We will walk toward Lake Tanganyika, where the horizon stretches endlessly. Lake Tanganyika is the second-deepest Lake in the World. If you're feeling adventurous or just hungry, we can stop at one of the local lakeside restaurants, where you can try a mukeke (fish) or even hop into a traditional pirogue.
Final Stop: African Market (Athenée)
Hop on a bus and head to the colorful African Market, known locally as Kumashurwe. Here, you’ll find handcrafted souvenirs to take home.
