Tour of Dark Belfast: True Stories from the Past

The tour lasts 2 hours
Available in Spanish

Description

Do you dare to walk on the darker side of Belfast?

Imagine a city where the streets hide secrets of public executions, brutal murders, silenced rebellions, and chilling traditions.

This is not a conventional tour: it is an immersive experience that takes you through centuries of dark history, told with passion, irony, and a touch of mystery.

We begin in the heart of the city, where the cries of the hanged still echo. We will visit the scenes of the most infamous executions, meet the sinister Shankill Butchers, explore body snatching in ancient churches, the Georgian red-light district, and much more.

We will also explore legendary taverns, deadly epidemics, and the harsh reality of Victorian prisons.

Throughout the tour, you will delve into:

  • Rosemary Street – Presbyterian Church and religious repression.
  • 🍻 White’s Tavern
  • 🎶 The Four Corners
  • 🚨 Donegall Street
  • 💃 Hill Street
  • 💀 Waring Street
  • Church of St George
  • 🏛️ Pub The Jailhouse

The tour ends at Dunnes Stores, the site of the old Belfast Castle and the execution of the rebel Henry Joy McCracken.

This tour is for those who are not afraid to look the past in the eye.
Book your spot and let yourself be guided by the shadows of Belfast. The dark also has its light... if you know where to look.

IMPORTANT: The tour requires a minimum of 4 participants. If this number is not reached, travelers will be notified to reschedule or cancel.
