Experience the castells from within: a tour of the Sant Fèlix festival

At the indicated time, we will meet at the Vilafranca del Penedès train station and start walking through its streets to discover the magic of the most "castellera" Major Festival in Catalonia. 
We will tell you the most surprising stories of this celebration, declared a Heritage Festival of National Interest.

We will tour the historic center and learn how popular culture is experienced at street level. We will approach the parade, where we will see traditional dances, such as the giants, the big heads, the stick dancers, the ribbons, or the devil's dance, and we will understand the role of each group within the whole festival.

We will stop at the plaza de la Vila, where the most important "castellera" performance of the year will take place. We will explain the symbolism of the castells and how the collas (castell groups) work, before seeing live how human structures of 8, 9, and even 10 stories high are raised. You will be amazed by the silence before an attempt and the shout of joy when the castell is successfully completed.

We will also have moments to observe the festive atmosphere, the music of the grallas and drums, and to see how an entire town gets involved in a festival that combines tradition, effort, and collective identity.
