Free walking tours in Toulouse

Denise was the best guide o have ever used on a free walking tour. She made the tour fun, interactive and informative taking time to get to know all of the people on the tour. Gave us great tips for once the tour had finished too

I have been living in Toulouse for a few months and took a walking tour with Denise when my family came to visit. Not my first walking tour of the city but I still learned tons of new things and visited places I had yet to see too. The tour is interesting, engaging and offers plenty of ideas of how to enjoy the remainder of your time in Toulouse!

Harry loves history and he is a bit of an entertainer. As he told us he researched this area for years. I was really deeply moved by what he told us about the Carthars, the inquisition, the church. All was presented with a lot of expression of voice and lots of drama. But ultimately things were presented in gentle and considerate manner (I had read your explanantions before the tour, Harry where you had given a warning but I found you inoffensive and in fact delightful).

Harry is a great guide with tons of knowledge on all the particulars of Toulousian history, especially from the medieval period. I really appreciated how much info he gave— with many tours, you just walk around and get the same info you could have gotten from a cheap audio guide or an online blog. Not Harry’s tour! So, sure, if you’re not into history, maybe it’s not for you, but you can tell he is very passionate about the city where he lives and loves telling stories that you probably won’t hear anywhere else. Excellent tour.

Yasmin was a great tour guide! She showed us all main sights of Toulouse; shared personal stories and impressions from this beautiful city. Yasmin took us to sights we would not have gone by ourselves. She gave us many tips where to go and what to see, based on our interests. We got to understand much better the city, and felt its spirit. All the best to Yasmin, and whenever possible, we would visit Toulouse again!

I was jonesing for history, and history did I get! Harry makes you feel the excitement and absurdity of Toulouse's history in every word, with fantastic gesticulations and a solid repertoire of jokes. He's a gifted orator. Three hours flew by and I have more questions now than when I started — always a sign that a history lesson has done its job properly, as there are a million rabbit holes to dive down. Well done Harry!

This is an excellent tour to introduce you to the delights of this beautiful city. Yasmin was a wondreful and knowledgable guide. We were never rushed but saw a huge amount, even being taken inside some of the places. Highly recommended!

I have been on many walking tours in my two months of solo traveling and Denise was the best by far! She was very personable with giving personalized recommendations at the end and making sure each of us was included in trivia questions and one on one talks as we walked! Would highly recommend:)

I planned my entire visit to Toulouse around this tour and it’s was the best I’ve ever been on. I can’t imagine how you can go to Toulouse and not go on this tour. It’s the most fun, informative, educational, enjoyable experience and absolutely not to be missed.

Denise is a very friendly & welcoming guide. Enthusiastic & easy to understand, willing to share good information on local eateries Denise makes an effort to speak to each attendee individually. Only improvement for many of the guides not just Denise, always think the start of the tour should give an introduction/ few historical overview of the particular city

We really enjoyed discovering the city. We took a stoll through all the monuments in Toulouse and she gave us recommandations of activities and places to get the best experience of the city

This review is from George and Barbara. We both really enjoyed our walk with Denise. She kept us all moving along on a cold day and was interesting, informative and made sure everyone was involved. We would definitely recommend her to anyone who likes an upbeat walk with lots of fun facts.

I loved Harry‘s tour he was entertaining from the moment we started. It is true. It’s a long haul but it’s a fascinating deep dive into some of the stories that you won’t hear on other tours. He goes beneath the skin of the story of the city and introduces you to some of the best and worst characters from the city’s past. I learned so much and would love to sit down for a chat with Harry and hear more of his stories. I’m sure I would not get a word in edgeways but I would have a great time. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. One note of caution dress for the weather you’re outside all the time and although that’s obvious from it being a walking tour you should know that you will need protection from whatever weather is going on that day. Thanks to Harry great morning and best of luck to him. Go team Cathar!

Denise’s free tour was awesome! It really added value to our time in Toulouse. She is knowledgeable, friendly and with a great sense of humor, fun jokes, and trivia questions that kept everyone engaged. She also shared excellent food tips and took us to places where only locals go, which made the experience feel truly special. The tour was well paced and full of fascinating stories that brought the city to life. Highly recommended!

Harry's knowledge ofToulouse was unparalleled - he shared so many stories with us from his own personal research which we wouldn't find anywhere else. Overall Harry and his tour were incredibly entertaining and it was the highlight of our trip to Toulouse. I would recommend his tour to anyone visiting Toulouse (albeit presuming they liked history!)
