A walk through the town of Comillas
Tour description
It's 1883, in a Barcelona lounge, four wealthy men sitting around a table playing tresillo. Suddenly, one of them begins to feel ill, very ill, and immediately collapses to the floor. His fellow players quickly get up to assist him, but there's nothing they can do. The man is dead. His name is Antonio, Antonio López, like so many others, only this Antonio López is none other than the Marquis of Comillas, one of the richest men of the time, the man who left an indelible mark on the place in the world he loved most: his town, Comillas. The life of Antonio López is a colossal epic poem that will remain etched in every corner of this town.
But Comillas, though humble, has existed since time immemorial, and its people, from the sea and the countryside, gave it the character that would captivate the Great Man of the 19th century. That's why there are two Comillas: the traditional one, with its roots firmly planted in its green and blue essence, and the glamorous, modernist, and elegant Comillas created by its Marquis. These two Comillas are inseparable, and the fusion of the two gave rise to one of the most beautiful towns you'll ever see.
And you know what? I can't wait to show you!
