Siena is a famous medieval city nestled in the middle of the rolling hills of Tuscany. It's a place where the echo of medieval life still resonates in the Cobbleston streets. Renowned in the world for the horse ride competition the "Palio" the origins date back to the 13th century. It's a festival tradition that occurs twice a year, in July and in August, an entire community "le contrade" participates in the event with devotion and sense of belonging.
Things to see in this itinerary: Piazza il Campo, Torre il Mangia, Palazzo Pubblico, the Cathedral in honor of the Lady of the Assumption. The tour includes a pleasant walk in the street food district, free tasting of a variety of food stuff products like the passatelli stuffed with the "cold cuts" smoked ham and pork, pecorino cheese, olive oil tasting with fresh bread.
