My name is Mulondo Bimbasa, and I live in Jinja, Uganda, a place I love for its vibrant culture, friendly people, and the beauty of the River Nile. I am passionate about community work, cultural exchange, and creating meaningful connections with people from around the world.
Travel is one of my biggest inspirations,I enjoy exploring new cultures, learning different ways of life, and sharing my own experiences.Each journey has given me memories and lessons that shape who I am today.
I also pursued a bachelor of degree in Toursim & Hospitality at the Jinja Hotel and Tourism Training Institute with an experience of 4 years in the industry and many places that l’ve been around Jinja city.

Tour description
Join me for a relaxing walking tour through the beautiful town of Jinja, Uganda’s adventure capital and the source of the Nile.
We will meet at Space Cafe along mainstreet or at Walukuba West Community Centre then walk together to explore:
- Jinja Central Market – experience the sights, sounds, and smells of the bustling local market.
- Main Street & Colonial Buildings – see Jinja’s charming streets lined with colorful shops and learn about its history.
- Indian Quarter & Temples – discover the Indian heritage of Jinja and visit some of its cultural landmarks.
- Source of the Nile viewpoint – finish with a walk toward the famous Nile River, where Africa’s longest river begins.
Along the way, I’ll share stories about Jinja’s culture, history, and daily life.

Jinja Nile Bridge
Here at the Source of the Nile Bridge, you’ll see Uganda’s most modern landmark, standing proudly over the world’s longest river. We’ll walk across it, enjoy spectacular views, and I’ll share with you stories about the Nile from ancient legends to its role in modern Uganda.

Jinja Central Market
At Jinja Central Market, we’ll walk through the fruit and spice section, see the colorful kitenge fabrics, and stop for a taste of Uganda’s famous street snack, the Rolex. You’ll also get a chance to interact with local vendors and capture the vibrant life of Jinja.

Entry not included
Uganda Railway Museum
At the Uganda Railway Museum, you’ll step back in time to when trains first connected Uganda to the world. You’ll see real locomotives, hear stories of adventure and hardship, and discover why Jinja became so important during the railway era.

Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end the amount they consider appropriate (amounts usually range from €15 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
