Walk through the most important tourist landmarks, such as the historic city center, the Arctic Cathedral (exterior view), the harbor, and other key sites that illustrate the city’s evolution from its fishing origins to becoming a vibrant center for polar research and one of the best places on the planet to experience the Northern Lights.
Throughout the route, learn about Norwegian society, its welfare model, its relationship with the Sami people, the economy of the North, and how Tromsø has transformed into a modern Arctic hub. Hear about important episodes in its history, local curiosities, and anecdotes that will help you better understand life in this extreme region.
During the tour there will be indoor areas where we can take shelter from the cold, but remember to dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes.
