Free Tour of Hannover: Tour for Spanish Speakers!

Join me as I explore Hanover on foot on a tour filled with history, anecdotes, and charming spots.

We'll start at the Ernst-August-Denkmal, opposite Central Station, where we'll learn about the history of Hanover's most famous king and the city's most iconic meeting point.

From there, we'll walk along Bahnhofstrasse to the heart of the city, Kröpcke-Platz, and visit the elegant Hannover Opera House, a neoclassical gem rebuilt after World War II.

We'll continue to the Old Town (Altstadt), where we'll visit the imposing Marktkirche and the historic Marstalltor, where we'll talk about the ancient medieval city walls and see the colorful "Nanas" sculptures, a modern symbol of the city.

We will then visit the Niedersächsischer Landtag (Regional Parliament) and the Denkmal der Göttinger Sieben, with a fascinating history of protest and academic freedom.

We'll end our tour at the impressive Neues Rathaus, one of Germany's most beautiful buildings, surrounded by an idyllic park. From there, we'll walk past the State and Sprengel Museums to Maschsee, the large artificial lake where locals enjoy the calm of summer and the most beautiful views of Hanover.

With this tour, I want to offer you a fun, engaging, and cultural experience, especially designed for Spanish speakers. Together, we'll explore Hanover's most iconic sites, learn about its history, its people, and its evolution, and, of course, take a moment to soak up the local atmosphere!

My goal is that by the end of the tour, you'll not only have seen the city, but also feel a little like a Hanoverian, taking home souvenirs, photos, and interesting facts that will surprise you.

Guiding since 2024
Hello! I'm Lesley, from Colombia, and I've been living in Hanover since November 2023. I love exploring the city on foot and getting to know every corner, from its historic buildings to its parks and lively streets. I'm a big fan of free tours: I believe they're the best way to get to know a city from a local perspective, sharing curious stories, anecdotes, and secrets that only those of us who live here can tell.
