Do you want to start exploring and don't know where to begin?… Tokyo didn't start with skyscrapers or giant screens. Before becoming a metropolis, it was a city of warriors, temples, spirits, legends, and changes that transformed Japan forever. This is your tour!

I am Yennifer, a guide and psychologist specialized in Japanese culture. You will not only learn about history; you will also understand how religion, mythology, and traditional values continue to influence contemporary Japanese society.

We will start by observing and walking around the station; the northern gate and migration, a symbol of the passage to the present, and then delve into the nighttime atmosphere of Ueno's cultural park and the history of its traditions and royal origins.

We will continue to immerse ourselves in mythology, religion, and legends in the area of the ponds and lotus flowers, where it all began. Yes! all that in an area surrounded by intriguing nature and traditional beauty.

We will reach the “arch of life,” one of the most symbolic places of Japanese spirituality and the meaning it has preserved for centuries.

We will proceed to the sacred space of the shogunate and the clan honored in the center of this territory, as well as those remnants of the battle that initiated Japan's opening to the world.

Finally, we will end by walking towards one of the most cultural, important, and beautiful memorial spaces in Tokyo with the company of everything that was re-signified to appreciate the memories of a Tokyo and Japan dazzled by the change of seasons: Yanaka cemetery park.
