Tour description

Welcome to Chengdu, the "Land of Abundance" where 2,300 years of history blend with modern energy! As your local guide, I’ll lead you to its soul—think pandas, spicy hotpot, and age-old stories around every corner.

Our first stop: Tianfu Square — the geographic and cultural heart of Chengdu. This iconic public space is surrounded by landmarks like the Sichuan Museum and the Tianfu Art Museum, where you can catch a glimpse of the city’s art and history at a glance. The square is also a great spot to soak up the local vibe, watching residents practice tai chi or fly kites on sunny days.
Then we’ll step into old Chengdu at Kuanzhai Alley—three historic lanes with traditional courtyard houses (siheyuan). Explore teahouses, handicraft shops, and snack stalls. Sip jasmine tea at a century-old spot and catch Sichuan opera, with its famous face-changing (bianlian) and fire-spitting acts. Try local treats: spicy rabbit heads or sweet osmanthus egg tarts.

Jinli Ancient Street is a must—it recreates Tang Dynasty bustle. Wander under red lanterns, watch artisans make Sichuan embroidery and bamboo crafts. History lovers shouldn’t miss Wuhou Temple, dedicated to Zhuge Liang, the Three Kingdoms strategist. Its ancient cypresses and stone tablets tell tales of the past.

As a UNESCO "City of Gastronomy," Chengdu’s food is unbeatable. We’ll have hotpot—pick mild tomato broth or fiery "ma la" (numbing-spicy) broth. Dip fresh beef, lotus root, and tofu; Sichuan peppercorn and chili will tingle your taste buds. For something milder, try mapo tofu or kung pao chicken.
Additional costs for attractions around 15 CNY.
If you feel the service is good, I will charge a tip of  100CNY per person.
