Hi! I’m Mauricio from Argentina, originally from the beautiful city of Mendoza. I have a bachelor’s degree in Tourism and I’m a certified tour guide and coordinator, but more importantly, I’m someone who truly loves sharing places and stories with people. My journey started in South America and took me across Europe, where I lived in Denmark and Ireland. But everything changed when I arrived in Tromsø. I originally planned to stay for just one year… that turned into two, then three — and now, after nine years, I’m still here and proud to call Tromsø home. Over the years, I’ve worked as a tour guide with different companies, gaining experience and getting to know this city from every angle — its history, culture, and the everyday life of people living above the Arctic Circle. Like many travelers, I’ve always looked for free walking tours wherever I go. So I kept asking myself: why isn’t there one in Tromsø? That question eventually turned into an idea — and in September 2023, we launched the first free walking tour in the city. Now, I’d love to show you Tromsø through my eyes — not just the famous landmarks, but also the hidden stories, local tips, and the magic that makes this place so special.
