Hi! I’m Mauricio, and I’ve been living in Tromsø for over 9 years.
I have a background in Tourism and I’m a certified tour guide, but more importantly, I’m someone who genuinely enjoys sharing places and stories with people.
Over the years, I’ve worked as a guide with different companies, gaining deep knowledge of Tromsø — its history, culture, and what everyday life is really like above the Arctic Circle.
After experiencing free walking tours around the world, I realized something was missing here. That’s why in September 2023, I launched the first free walking tour in Tromsø.
This tour is not just about the main sights — it’s about understanding the city, discovering hidden stories, and seeing Tromsø through the eyes of someone who truly lives here.
Now, together with a small team of international guides based in Tromsø, we offer an authentic, personal experience — far from mass tourism.

The tour was all good. The guide (can't remember his name) was good, although not originally local - he was from Argentina, his long term residency in Tromso can be seen with his local knowledge. The only thing which can be improved is a bit in the middle (before the end where a free show was shown in a gift shop), where I felt there was not much information shared about the main street. But overall, I would definitely recommend
Very entertaining and informative tour with a lot of interesting facts about Tromsø and its history, and also life in Norway. Mauricio the guide, has an open and friendly energy and its easy to keep ones attention on him, the time flew and I felt I knew more about this beautiful city and its people by the end of it. Amazing tour! The guide Mauricio will tell you so many interesting things about Tromsø and also gives you very good tips! This lovely city has so much history and so much to offer. Time flew during the tour, and it was so much fun! Not to missed :)
