Tour description
Explore and discover the history and secrets hidden in every corner of one of the most beautiful municipalities in the Community of Madrid.
The municipality of Buitrago del Lozoya has been a Historic-Artistic Site and a Cultural Interest Asset since 1993, and its walled enclosure has been a National Monument since 1931.
Learn from one of the most well-known locals of the mountains everything you need to have a unique experience, always accompanied by history, culture, nature, and local traditions.
We will enjoy an easy tour of its most important streets and squares, walk along the wall, approach the banks of the Lozoya River, and even visit several exhibitions.
The visit will last between 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 hours.
Recommendations:
- Comfortable shoes and clothing
- In summer: water bottle, sunscreen, and cap.
- In winter: warm clothing and hood/umbrella.
- Recommended for ages 10 and up.
The entrance fee to the upper part of the wall costs 2€ or 3€, and it is completely voluntary.
