Tour description
Discover the charm of Bolzano with a 2-hour itinerary that weaves together history, art, curiosities, and local flavors!
We will start from the vibrant heart of the city, Piazza Walther, an elegant urban lounge where you immediately sense the Central European soul of Bolzano. From here, we will begin our journey through the wonders of the historic center, guided by its dual cultural roots, Italian and German.
We will reach the majestic Bolzano Cathedral, a symbol of the city, with its fascinating Gothic facade and rich cycle of interior frescoes: a place that tells centuries of history, faith, and art.
We will then proceed to one of the most surprising gems: the Chapel of St. John at the Dominicans, an authentic masterpiece of the Giotto school in South Tyrol. Here, we will delve into 14th-century painting, discovering techniques, symbols, and secrets of the colors that still enchant visitors today.
Leaving art behind, we will immerse ourselves in the city's daily life by crossing the lively Piazza delle Erbe, amidst scents, colors, and traditions. It will be the perfect moment for a tasty break: speck, cheeses, and local specialties will accompany us in an authentic taste of the region.
The route continues along the picturesque Via dei Portici, the commercial soul of the city for centuries. Among historic shops, medieval signs, and ancient palaces, we will tell stories of merchants, noble families, and trades that have made Bolzano a European crossroads.
We will conclude our tour by returning to Piazza Walther, with time dedicated to photos, curiosities, questions, and personalized advice to continue exploring the city.
An experience designed for those who love to travel with curious eyes, between art, culture, and taste, with an engaging and interactive style that makes every visit unique and memorable.
