Tarragona Historical "More than 2,000 years of stories". (Dramatized by a local guide and the most original in Catalonia)

I am a native of this city, passionate about history and culture, in love with my city and our archaeological culture. I believe that Tarragona is not sufficiently valued and advertised to the rest of Spain, and that is why I want to contribute my bit by doing this free tour. It is a unique immersive free tour in Catalonia where you yourself can participate in the history if you wish. Additionally, there will be a small contest about what is explained on the tour with a prize for the best participant. This free tour is for people of all ages and cultures, educational and enjoyable.

The tour will start at the Balcó del Mediterrani. An important local character from the time, a senator from 1st century Tarraco, has appeared in our century thanks to a time machine and wants to guide us through the city to tell the history, summarizing it from the arrival of the Roman Empire to its disappearance.

The route will continue to the Amphitheater, where we will learn about the Roman people's entertainments and their gladiator fights.

The next stop will be the Roman Circus. We will experience an exciting and unique show from that era.

We will visit the Tower of the Pretorium and its different uses over 2,000 years.

The route will proceed to see a part of the Roman and medieval wall, within which there will be many stories to tell,

We will enter the old town until we reach the modernist-era building, now the offices and rectorate of the Rovira i Virgili University; we will learn about its architecture and its surprising original use. You will guess it.

We will stop at Portal del Carro street to explain the history and martyrdom of our patron Saint Magi.

Next, we will approach the facade of the cathedral, with Romanesque and Gothic art, to explain the details of its facade, but also stories and fables from its interior.

They will say goodbye to the character, and you can take photographs and see who will be the Consul of Tarraco in their city as the winner of the mini contest of the free tour.
