Welcome to The Hague: International City of Peace and Justice
Tour description
Few cities of its size have impacted the world quite like The Hague. Over the course of around two hours and roughly six kilometers, this free tour takes you through the center of a city that serves as the seat of Dutch democracy, the workplace of the royal family, and a bastion of modern international law. Ten main stops anchor the route, but keep your eyes open between them: the embassies, the ministry buildings, and the quiet canals all have stories to tell. What makes The Hague unique is how effortlessly centuries coexist. Medieval towers reflect in the same water as a modern skyline. A royal palace sits on a busy shopping street. The institutions that govern a nation and arbitrate the disputes of the world do so from buildings where history seeps through every stone — yet their work could not be more urgent in the present-day.
