Tour description
"Flavors of Sucre: A Culinary Journey"
We will begin our culinary adventure at 9:00 a.m., meeting at the main square, Plaza 25 de Mayo. From there, we’ll head to the Cemetery neighborhood, where we’ll enjoy a traditional breakfast with a warm api (corn-based drink) and delicious pasteles (fried pastries).
Next, we’ll take a local bus to the lively Mercado Campesino, where you’ll experience authentic local life, see how people shop for the week, and discover a wide variety of traditional products.
After exploring the market, we’ll return by bus to the city center to visit some of the most iconic salteñerías, where you’ll learn about and taste these famous Bolivian pastries.
We’ll then continue to the Mercado Central, where we’ll try the famous Chuquisaca chorizo sandwich, taste fresh natural fruit juices, explore local restaurants, and discover the section of traditional spices and spicy flavors.
To finish the experience, we’ll walk to the Chocolate Street, where we’ll share and taste some of the finest chocolates in Bolivia.
