My name is Carlos Miranda – but everyone calls me CALICHE. Guiding isn't just my job. It's my heartbeat. I arrived in Toronto over 20 years ago as an immigrant from Colombia. Nervous. Excited. Carrying little more than a dream. I remember what it felt like to be welcomed, to be shown kindness, and to slowly fall in love with a city that celebrates differences. For four years, I guided for other companies – bike tours, walking tours, private experiences. I loved showing people Toronto. But something was missing. Then the pandemic hit. The streets went quiet. And I realized: I didn't want to just work in this city. I wanted to share it my way. With Colombian coffee. Honest stories. And the warmth of someone who truly loves what he does. So I founded JOIN-TO Independent City Tours. I'm the founder. The only guide. The one who shows up early with a thermos of 100% Colombian coffee and a Colombian flag waving at Sankofa Square. What makes my tour different? I don't just point at buildings.
