Description
Join me as we embark on an excting stroll from the Seabright neighborhood of Santa Cruz to the Beach Boardwalk and along scenic West Cliff Drive and culminating at the Natural Bridges State Park. . We meet at the Santa Cruz Natural History Museum in front of the big Blue Whale sculpture. Its a short stroll from there to the old train trestle which crosses the San Lorenzo River to visit the world renowned Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk home of the Giant Dipper (the West Coast's oldest wooden roller coaster). Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy some of the West Coast's most thrilling amusement rides. We'll pass the Santa Cruz Main Beach home to some of the best beach volleyball players in town, Just a few short steps brings us to the Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf with its history of fisherman from Sestri Levante, Italy who have been launching their boats for decades. Up a short hill we go passing the Dream Inn Hotel and on to West Cliff Drive and a short walk past the Surfer Long Board Statue and the Santa Cruz Surfer Museum with breath taking views of the Wharf and Monterey and Pacific Grove on a clear day. We'll conclude the tour at Steamer's Lane with a chance to watch great surfer's carving up the waves with a unique view from the cliffs above and finally a visit to the Santa Cruz Surf Museum which houses some old memorablia and boards from the past .
