3-Hour Addis Ababa Itinerary
- Hour 1: National Museum of Ethiopia
Start with a 40–60 minute visit to the National Museum of Ethiopia to see the famous 3.2-million-year-old hominid fossil, "Lucy," and learn about Ethiopia's ancient history.
Holy Trinity Cathedral: A beautiful, historic church that houses the tomb of Emperor Haile Selassie.
After visiting at the National Museum of Ethiopia, experiencing a traditional coffee ceremony (At Tesfa coffee) just a five-minute walk from the museum. It is a highly rated, family-run traditional cafe celebrated by visitors for providing an authentic coffee ceremony atmosphere
- Hour 2: walk in the beautiful Mount Entoto natural park & Viewpoint
- Taking a taxi from the National Museum of Ethiopia to Entoto Park takes about 16 minutes to cover the 7-kilometer uphill route.
- Once you arrive, there is 2 -hour beautiful nature walking through the entoto natural park forest . The walk offers a perfect blend of high-altitude nature, panoramic views, and cultural landmark
- Hour 3: take a taxi to sholla tradtional market ( 10 to 20 minutes ride ) and walk towards the spice section to visit the variety of Ethiopian spices, berbere, and frankincense
- Viisit another market section called Textiles & Crafts: Browse the textiles area for traditional Ethiopian woven clothing (habesha kemis) and handcrafted woven Coffee & Household Goods:
- Explore sections for coffee & enjoy the local coffee ceremony and the spritual blessing to welcoming guests
- local household items, and the "false banana" products
