Paris during the French Revolution - Free Tour of Latin Quarter & St Germain
The tour lasts 2 hours
Available in English
Description
What happened in France in 1789 ? Who were the revolutionaries ? Why did this revolution change the course of history forever? Why was the king beheaded?
Traces of the revolution are few in Paris, but if you look carefully, the city is full of emblematic places from that era that still exist.
I'll take you to the Left Bank, the cultural heart of Paris for centuries.
We'll discover the Pantheon, church Saint-Placide, Mouffetard Street, the 5 centuries old Procope café, the sites of insurrection and urban revolts. Some of the oldest French universities, many other hidden gems
The tour lasts two hours and starts at the "Saint-Michel" metro stop near Notre Dame.

Guiding since 2026I've been passionate about history since childhood, especially extraordinary events like revolutions and wars.
I fell in love with Paris, learning about the city through its rich history. At every turn, behind every building's facade, centuries of history have shaped this city.
As a traveler, I love nothing more than sharing my discoveries, sparking curiosity in others, and uncovering the unexpected details of French history.
