Free Walking Tour: Gothenburg Like a Local

The tour lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes
Available in English and Spanish

Description

Born and raised in Gothenburg, I'll take you through the city's most iconic and beloved spots: from the working-class charm of Haga to the grand boulevards of Avenyn, the historic Gustav Adolfs Torg, and Trädgårdsföreningen park.

We start at Järntorget and end at Stora Saluhallen, so you'll finish the tour hungry and right next to one of the city's best food markets. Along the way I'll share stories about what Gothenburg looks like from the inside, covering everyday life and the things that don't always make the tourist brochures. I'll also point out places worth exploring on your own after the tour.

This is the tour I've given friends and family for years. Expect local knowledge, honest opinions, and no tourist clichés.

Guide: Dan
Guiding since 2024
Hi, I'm Dan! As a Gothenburg native I have been showing friends and family around my city for as long as I can remember. I have a background in economics and political science, and a genuine interest in history, urban development, and the everyday stories that shape a city. I am also a huge statistics and meteorology nerd, so expect some facts about our interesting weather. I look forward to sharing my Gothenburg with you.
