Okay experience: good for those who know little about Turkish cuisine, as you are informed about different food options. However, you don't actually taste anything unless you stop to purchase something.
What a lovely way to learn about the Asian side! The tour was informative, practical and entertaining. Fehrat is an excellent guide who goes at pace!
Thank you Ferhat for bringing us on this tour and sharing the historical facts and information. It made our Istanbul trip so much more interesting. Love the food tour and the Kadikoy neighbourhood! It's not so easy for foreigners to know what are the food available and how to order. Strongly recommend!
Ferhat gave us an overview of Turkey and the local areas we visited- Kadikoy and Moda. This side of Istanbul is very different to the old city - more local and authentic, worth visiting. We went to many local shops and tried local food - we would not have had the courage to do this ourselves without our guide. Ferhat told us about the traditions associated with the food. We also went to Moda which again is different to Kadikoy - trendy and edgy. The tour lasted for 2 hours and when we parted we then went for lunch at one of the restaurants that had been recommended. An excellent tour - would recommend!
The local food tour with Ferhat was really great! He showed us a lot of nice places with really good and local food and gave us time to buy something and also told us a lot of interesting information about the local cuisine. He also answered all of our questions and gave us additional directions to other places we wanted to visit. All in all I would highly recommend the tour 😊
