Hallo! Ich bin Rudy. Mein Vater, Großvater und sogar Urgroßvater arbeiteten in den Häfen von Rotterdam. Einige meiner Familienmitglieder waren Schiffsfahrer, andere arbeiteten im Schiffsbau und in Fabriken. Ich bin in den kleinen Städten rund um Rotterdam (in der Nähe der Windmühlen) aufgewachsen und habe in Rotterdam gelebt, wo ich an der Kunstakademie Film studiert habe. Danach habe ich über 15 Jahre in Japan gearbeitet und gelebt und Fotos und Videos für japanische Reisebüros erstellt. Vor ein paar Jahren bin ich nach Rotterdam zurückgekehrt. Jetzt kann ich die Stadt sowohl mit den Augen der Einheimischen als auch mit denen anderer sehen. Geführte Spaziergänge sind für mich eine großartige Möglichkeit, mich wieder mit meinen Wurzeln zu verbinden und bedeutungsvolle Kontakte zu Menschen aus aller Welt zu knüpfen!

Rotterdam’s street art tour was such a refreshing way to see the city—every corner felt like a gallery with a story. Rudy brought the murals to life with context, humor, and hidden details I would’ve completely missed on my own. It made me appreciate Rotterdam’s creativity on a whole new level. Highly recommend if you want to see the city beyond the usual spots! Also , the information on where to eat the best food in the city was quite helpful . It was even more interesting because of the quirky stories and history behind it . The group was small and intimate .
