Madani was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer questions and I really appreciated her sharing her lived experiences and information about her family under Soviet times
Madina went above and beyond to provide us with all the information we needed not only for the tour but for our whole stay in Uzbekistan. We decided to skip the mosque because they still hadn't opened and apparently sometimes they don't let foreigners enter, and we have seen many other mosques around other cities already. She recommended us places inside the bazaar where we could buy what we wanted, and we even saw places we haven't seen inside the bazaar. Also the metro stations explanations were very nice. Keep in mind this tour doesn't cover hazrati imam complex or the center of the city near Uzbekistan square, but we had already seen it. Sadly this was our last day here so we weren't able to try all the places she recommended. But we still value all the information she provided us :)
I had only arrived in Tashkent on the morning of the tour and was feeling a little overwhelmed but doing this tour with Marina was great, it really helped me get my bearings and to feel more comfortable with finding my way around. Marina's English was excellent which was great because my Uzbek and Russian is non-existent. She showed me some really interesting places and provided lots of insights about Uzbekistan. She also sent me a lot of additional information about places to visit and food options in Tashkent. The tour was a great start to my trip to Uzbekistan.
