Es war eine sehr schöne Erfahrung. Besonders die Dachterasse mit Blick auf den Galata Turm hat uns sehr gefallen. Natürlich war auch Sahikas sehr freundliche Art und ihre interessanten Einblicke in die türkische Kultur und das Leben in Istanbul sehr aufschlussreich.

Die Tour hat mir sehr gefallen, es war super dass man abseits der Hauptstraßen vieles entdeckt hat, die man ohne Guide nicht gesehen hätte. Sehr unterhaltsam.

Sahika is a truly cool and charismatic guide! The tour felt very organic, and the discussions flowed naturally across a wide range of topics, from the spots we visited to the broader political, historical, and cultural context. The space she left for questions and discussion made the experience particularly engaging. Sahika was also incredibly helpful in suggesting bars, activities, movies, and music to dig into during and after our stay. If you're looking for something a little different from the regular historical tour, don't hesitate!

had a great time, the guide tried to engage everyone in the discussion and allowed us to talk about a wide range of topics, it was so nice to truly speak to a local and get a down to earth side of Istanbul

Very good tour! Learn a lot about some the remarkable places of Istanbul, like to 2 main Bazaars and we explored some hidden gems! The guide presented me with very nice stories and we met some locals!

Şahika war eine fantastische Guide, die die FreeTour zu einem echten Highlight meines Istanbul-Aufenthalts gemacht hat. Obwohl ich zum Zeitpunkt der Tour bereits sechs Tage in der Stadt war, hat sie mir fast ausschließlich neue Ecken und Perspektiven gezeigt – fernab der üblichen touristischen Trampelpfade. Sie vermittelt Geschichten unglaublich lebendig, mit viel Humor und spürbarer Liebe zu ihrer Stadt, sodass man ihr stundenlang zuhören möchte. Besonders gut haben mir die kleinen Anekdoten und Mythen gefallen, mit denen sie historische Fakten verknüpft und so ein stimmiges Bild von Istanbul zwischen Vergangenheit und Gegenwart zeichnet. Gleichzeitig achtet sie darauf, die Gruppe mitzunehmen, Fragen zu beantworten und immer wieder praktische Tipps für weitere Erkundungen zu geben. Wer Istanbul nicht nur „abhaken“, sondern wirklich erleben will, ist bei Şahika genau richtig – ich würde ihre Tour jederzeit weiterempfehlen.

I had such a great time on this tour and would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the city beyond the usual tourist spots. Our guide Sahika was knowledgeable and engaging, sharing stories and insights you wouldn’t find in a guidebook, and the route took us through vibrant neighbourhoods full of character and hidden gems. The whole experience felt more like exploring the city with a local friend than being on a tour. A fantastic way to see a different, cooler side of Istanbul.

This was such a surprising and amazing tour!! We had been to the grand bazaar before. But going on this tour was a completely different experience. The guide showed us some shop that is oldest family owned shop which makes high quality Turkish towels. That was excellent. He also took us to so many off beat places, antique cafe and more which I am sure would be impossible to discover by ourselves. It was a very interesting tour.

He was a legend, he took us to nice places, very hidden spots where only locals go! Was 100% worth it! Highly recommended! He also has a wide knowledge about all the history involved in Grand and Spices bazaars. Such a nice tour guide!
