Sheldon is unassuming but very knowledgeable and apolitical which is a good trait in a guide. Really enjoyed his tour which focused on Bo Kaap but also wider South African issues. He took us to some great vantage points and out of the way locations. Top tour!

Rubin offers an interesting historic perspective to Cape Town and an excellent history of the Khoi San people indigenous to the Western Cape

Rubin was a wealth of knowledge, sharing the Cape Town’s history. His experiences and passion made the tour. We saw most of the historical sites, and learnt so much about Cape Town’s past and present day. Well worth doing. We felt safe. Without joining a guide, we may not of visited central town, so pleased we did.

We had a really informative and nice time with Rubin during the Walking Tour. He has a lot of knowlegde and could explain us the history from back in the time until today really well. He adapted his time to our group and even extended the tour as our group was really Slow Walking, taking their time and asking questions. Thank you Rubin again! :)

Rubin was incredibly knowledgeable of his nation's history. I appreciated the depth of his research on the progression of South Africa's journey to a free democratic society. The walk was gentle and easy for all ages. Rubin gave us time to survey our surroundings. He developed a walk that covered the main details in a quadrant of Capetown that was rich in human culture. This tour complimented my visit to the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg. If you are keen to see more than animals and learn more about South African people, this is a worthwhile experience. Thank you, Rubin for a unique walking tour.

Our tour with Rubin was excellent: a great exploration of Cape Town and its history, and the perfect way to start our trip. It was genuinely interesting and eye-opening, made all the more so by Rubin sharing his own experiences of growing up and living in Cape Town his whole life. He's incredibly knowledgeable, happy to answer all our questions, and very friendly and entertaining throughout. We couldn't recommend him more!

A very authentic and welcoming tour with lots of information you cannot get of any other guides because he grew up in Bo-Kaap, knows every house and (almost) every person around. Recommentation! Join him! :)

Wonderful tour of the area just outside the door of the hotel I was staying at. Rubin ended up giving me a private tour as I was the only person who showed up. He was able to cover the entire history of Cape Town and South Africa whilst pointing out various buildings and other landmarks. It was a fantastic introduction to this city for a first timer. Highly recommended 👍
