Free walking tours in Kibera

Very interesting and impressive tour with Stella and her brother. I was a bit worried about my safety at the beginning, as I was doing the tour alone as a "mzungu", but Stella quickly allayed my fears and I felt safe at all times. The people there are all friendly and seem very happy despite the difficult conditions. I was also not begged or anything like in other parts of nairobi. I can recommend the tour to anyone who wants to experience the non-touristy side of Kenya or Nairobi. Many thanks again to Stella!

We arrived at the meeting point and met Stella and Elijah on time. They took us through the story of Kibera and how it began. We went through many places and saw the local people. It's interesting to see the way of life in Kibera with a guide. Elijah knows many people and can answer all the questions. It would have been even better when we could enter a house and to have a little more interaction with the people. It was impressive to experience.

Stella and Elijah were amazing guides and awesome humans. They really show you the ins and outs of chocolate city, provide the history and entertain all questions. My companions and I felt safe during the entire tour and the locals that spoke to us were friendly (especially the childrend). I highly recommend their tour for people who want to really get a perspective of how some people are living in Kenya away from the typical tourist areas. I appreciate Stella and Elijah for their time and effort they put in to make this a worthwhile tour and for what they pour into their community. I highly recommend them for those interested in taking this tour.

Brian was the perfect guide. He picked us up on time and showed us around in Kibera. He knows a lot about the place and answered all our questions in detail. The tour provided a very interesting experience. Stella and her brother led the tour, they live in Kibera. We got a real insight into the lives of the locals. We received a lot of information during the tour, and they answered our questions honestly. We felt safe the entire time, they looked after us. According to them, the locals are not bothered by visitors, and indeed, we did not attract much attention, so being there was not uncomfortable. I can only encourage everyone to visit the chocolate city with Stella and her brother. We are still deeply affected by what we saw and heard there. Overall, one of the most important takeaways from our visit is worth seeing the strength of the tight-knit community.

I had a tour with Brian and his Brother, with some other tourists, they were ready to answer all the question that we had and give a deeper explanation about the history of Kibera, they are really young and Easy going, but they have a big projects in their hand and I do suggest to all to have a look at It.
