⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Eye-Opening and Meaningful Experience in Kibera
We had a truly memorable and eye-opening experience exploring Kibera with Brian. He spent around two hours walking with us deep into the community, taking the time to explain many different aspects of everyday life in Kibera.
Throughout the walk, he gave us detailed insights into how local people live, including housing conditions, access to water and electricity, local culture, education, schools, and the challenges that residents face in their daily lives. He was very knowledgeable and patient, and was always happy to answer our questions and explain the background and context behind what we were seeing.
What I appreciated most was that the tour gave us a much deeper and more human understanding of Kibera. Instead of just seeing it from the outside or relying on what we had previously heard about the area, we were able to walk through the community, observe everyday life firsthand, and learn about both the difficulties and the resilience of the people who live there.
Brian was also very friendly, responsible, and attentive throughout the entire experience. We felt well looked after during the walk. At the end of the tour, he even personally escorted us all the way to our car and made sure that we got in safely before leaving, which was a very thoughtful gesture and something we really appreciated.
Overall, this was much more than just a sightseeing tour. It was an educational and meaningful experience that gave us a perspective on Kibera and local life that we would never have gained from visiting the usual tourist attractions alone.
I would highly recommend this guide to anyone who wants to understand Kibera beyond the stereotypes and learn more about the community, its culture, daily life, and people in a respectful and informative way. Thank you for taking such good care of us and for sharing your knowledge and community with us!
